Monday: 4/20 - "Carolina Explorer Ride" - touring local attractions of the Outer Banks.

Tuesday: 4/21 - "Corolla Ride" - Enjoy a ride to Corolla and tour the Wildlife Center, followed by lunch in Kitty Hawk.

Wednesday: 4/22 - "Fallen Rider Memorial Ride" - Touring coastal Carolina's Lake Mattamuskeet area.

Thursday: 4/23 - "Graveyard of the Atlantic Ride" - Ride to Hatteras Island for lunch and visit the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum.

These open group rides will have lunch breaks and photo stops. Fuel and restroom breaks approximately every 90 miles. Riders are responsible for their own food cost. Arrive for registration early....only 40 bikes per ride.

2015 ESA Mid-Atlantic Regional Surfing Championship

This 4-day surf competition is sure to rock the cape this spring. Starting on Thursday and concluding early afternoon on Sunday with competition starting each day at 7 a.m. The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse is considered one of the premier surf spots on the East Coast, especially in the spring.

3rd Annual Hatteras Storytelling Festival

Hatteras Village will be hosting the second annual Hatteras Storytelling Festival. 

This event is sponsored by Our State, Outer Banks Visitor Bureau and the Hatteras Village Civic Association. The three –day event, scheduled for Friday through Sunday, May 1-3, in Hatteras Village, NC.

This year’s event is filled with performances by both local and regional talent .With ample opportunity to indulge in the local cuisine of fresh seafood and the boundless beauty of Hatteras Island. The fact that the Outer Banks has so many of its own stories, it really sets this festival apart from the rest.

4th Annual Run in the Sand- 5K Road/ Beach Race- 1 Mile Fun Run


Announcing the 4th Annual NCSHP / MADD / NCLEAP Run In The Sand. Proceeds go to Mothers Against Drunk Driving and North Carolina Law Enforcement Assistance Program. The event consists of a 1 mile Fun Run / Walk which begins at 9:30 am. The 5K, which courses through the lighthouse grounds, begins at 10:00 am. Lastly, a M.A.D.D. Kid’s 50 Yard Dash on the beach starts at 11:00 am for ages 12 and under. Check us out on Facebook

Shore Break 5K and Tide Pool Fun Run


8am for 5K, 9am Fun Run. The 4th annual Shore Break 5K will be held at 8am and the Tide Pool Fun Run on the beach will immediately follow the 5K at 9am. Run through Kinnakeet Shores on gorgeous Cape Hatteras, on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. This race terrain will keep you entertained the entire 3.1 miles, from paved roads through winding beautiful Kinnakeet Shores to wooden bridges, boardwalks, beach walkways, a few steps up and over the dunes and finally finishing with an unbelievable view of the Atlantic Ocean as the final stretch takes you to the beach. Run, jog or walk, all are welcome! Come celebrate Cape Hatteras and give back to a great community! All proceeds from this event will go toward the Hatteras Island Youth Education Fund.
